Feminist Co.

As the Feminist Collective (FemCo), we strive to create a safe, empowering, and welcoming space for all members of the EUC community and those who face oppression by the patriarchal system. Our main goal is to provide a voice and platform for people at EUC to feel seen, heard, and empowered in their identity regardless of their gender, ethnicity, race, sexuality, age, or class.

As a collective, we embrace a non-hierarchical structure, where all members of the committee have a shared space and platform for advocacy, activism, and community. Within the collective, each member will have more equally distributed roles, such as social media manager, creative designers & logistics coordinator. Additionally, each member has opportunities to lead their own projects or events during the year.

Throughout the year, our collective organises events and projects that highlight the diverse stories of women, participate in activist events across Rotterdam, as well as create a comfortable and safe space for everyone to be themselves and speak their truth, through an intersectional lens of feminism. We also love collaborating with other committees to create fun and meaningful events that leave a positive impact on our community. Our event highlights from last year were:

• Tea & Tea Talks (New edition of Sexy Wine Talks)

• Women’s Week (Urban Self Defense Workshop, Banner Making Workshop)

• Charity Breast Cancer Awareness Bake Sale

• Dress to Impress Tournament (with Games Co)
